Please read your e-mail regarding the acceptance of your article carefully. It may contain a paragraph that tells you to send a cover letter to the PC chairs. If it does not contain such a paragraph, then this paragraph does not apply to you, and you can continue with the next paragraph. In the cover letter you should outline the changes you have made to your final paper regarding the comments and suggestions by the reviewers. Please ensure to e-mail the cover letter to the PC chairs when you upload your final paper. Papers, for which a cover letter was requested, will not appear in the conference proceedings in case the cover letter is not supplied by the submission deadline.
-
All submissions are due on November 13, 2009. The constraints for submitting the proceedings source to the publisher are very tight, so this is a firm deadline. Late submissions risk not being published.
-
Springer-Verlag strongly prefers the LaTeX 2e format, but Word format is acceptable. All camera-ready paper versions must be provided in both source format (using the Springer-Verlag llncs style) as well as in PDF file format.
-
The limit for final papers is 20 pages. If you need more space, please contact the PC chairs in advance. Submissions in excess of 20 pages will not be accepted without advance arrangements.
-
The abstract of the paper is used by Springer as a stand-alone summary. Therefore, it is inappropriate to include citations to the bibliography within the abstract. Make sure that the abstract does not include such citations.

In order to permit cross referencing within LNCS-Online, and eventually between different publishers and their online databases, LNCS will, from now on, be standardizing the format of the references. Please read the corresponding section in the default LNCS author instructions file and striclty adhere to the Citations and References Section guidelines.
-
The final submission must be uploaded via the conference management system as a single .zip archive file. If you experience difficulties creating your archive, please contact Markus ( Markus.Kirchberg@ieee.org ) for more detailed instructions.
The archive must have the following properties:
-
The archive must be no larger than 4MB (four megabytes) as the paper submission system will not accept it.
-
All files in the archive must be at one level. In other words, the archive should not contain sub-directories.
-
Of course, all source files for the paper must be included. For LaTeX, include the final .bbl file for your paper, which contains the formatted bibliography. Remember that we will not have access to your BibTeX bibliography libraries and styles, and so it is not practical for us to run BibTeX to create the .bbl file for each submission.
-
Include the PDF versions of your paper.
-
Include a duly signed copyright form (scanned as JPEG, GIF or PDF) for your paper. Papers without signed copyright forms cannot be published. The copyright form may be downloaded from copyright.pdf.
-
Include a text file (named AUTHORS.txt ) containing a list of all author names as they should appear in the proceedings. For each name, clearly indicate the last name -- we use this information for creating your paper's index entries.
-
Include a text file (named CONTACT.txt ) containing the name and email address of the designated contact author for your paper. We will later provide this information to Springer.
-
Include a text file (named PRESENTER.txt ) containing the name and email address of the paper author(s) who will register for this paper. Note that at least one author of each accepted paper is required to register for FoIKS 2010. Registration information will become available shortly.

If there are any special instructions which we should know, please include them in a README.txt file.
